The former Bank of America/Figueiredo’s Video Store on Franklin Street in Fort Bragg had seen better days. The Credit Union brought CadenceCXC, their designer, to the coast to coordinate a large remodel of the existing building. The total makeover was a collaboration between Gary Finnan of Cadence and Debra as Architect of Record & Local Liasion. This experience brought together a dedicated team that included Rosco Tuomala of Greenwood Construction to create the sleek, contemporary space that is completely transformed. Debra’s expertise in soliciting local talent for the contractor as well as the artwork in the space was valued as much as her skill navigating the local authorities for obtaining permits. The result is a commercial space that won the Mayor’s Achievement Award for best Commercial Remodel in 2018.
